Membership

Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month at the clubhouse.

Some times the meetings are held off site during the winter months so confirm meeting locations from the "Puffs of Smoke" news letter.

The members of Cedar River Bowmen extend a cordial invitation to you to consider membership in our organization and join us in the promotion of the sport of archery. We feel that we have one of the finest archery ranges anywhere, with facilities that both the tournament archer and bowhunter can enjoy.

We are presently on a 40-acre site near Black Diamond, just off the Enumclaw-Franklin Road. We have a total of four walk-through courses- (2) field courses and (2) animal courses, as well as a flat (practice) range, that has newly installed carpet butts from 15-100 yards. We have a wood stove heated, and lighted clubhouse, available 365 days a year to our members, as well as all courses, and practice range being available at any time (except scheduled work parties and tournament dates) for all paid members and their guests. Saturdays are often work parties so be sure to check the upcoming events to ensure the range is not closed for a work party.

Here are just a few of the benefits a membership with CRB will bring you:

  • Monthly club newsletter
  • Monthly club meetings
  • Tournaments for both the field and hunting archer
  • Range facilities available on a year-round basis
  • Personal key to unlock gate and clubhouse
  • Guest privileges, limited to 3 visits
  • Club affiliation with Washington State Archery Association (WSAA), National Field Archery Association (NFAA), and International Bowhunting Organization (IBO).
  • Annual awards for successful CRB big game hunters
  • Annual picnic, club shoot(s), and banquet for all club members, families and guests
  • Enjoy the camaraderie and make new friends with similar interests
  • Learn about our sport from some of Washington's most experienced archers and bowhunters.
  • Improve your skills using our spectacular facilities!

Cedar River Bowmen is operated as a private, non-profit corporation and relies upon its regular members for required services and maintenance. Almost any special skill we might require is generally found within our membership and we encourage full and active participation. Whether you are just getting started in archery, want to become more involved, or are already involved, we would like you to consider the advantages of a membership, and belonging to CRB. We ask that your conduct at all archery activities be such that it will bring credit to you, the sport, and to Cedar River Bowmen.

You can apply online or download the paper based application by clicking the links to the left, they includes a questionnaire to help us get to know you. Your membership is approved after your application is received and your payment clears the bank. If you would like any further information, please call or email the membership chairman listed under club officers.

Please choose ONE of the following categories of membership (Regular, Senior, Military, or Sponsored Junior) and make out your check to CEDAR RIVER BOWMEN for the full amount required for that category of membership (see application form for amount). If you are a Senior (over 60) or full time military, your annual dues are half the regular member amount.

Members are expected to attend the Annual Club Meeting, historically held the 2nd Thursday of January at 7:30 p.m. Service on committees as requested, and contribution of time and labor at work parties, tournaments, and other club functions is also vital for the club to be healthy.

Senior Membership is for those members who are over the age of 60 years. Either the member or spouse may be over 60 to be eligible for Senior membership. The annual dues for Senior status are half the dues of Regular membership.

Military
Military membership is for those archers who are active duty military. Spouse and children under 18 years old are included in the membership.

Sponsored Junior Membership
Sponsored Junior Membership is for archers under 18 years of age whose parents or legal guardians are not already club members. They must be sponsored by an adult member in good standing who will agree to be responsible for them. A key to the range is not issued to Junior members, they do not have voting privileges.
